My goal is to create custom works of audio art.  I, like many, started loitering around Head-fi.org, which really has ended up being the World's foremost forum to discover, discuss and buy/sell headphones and amplifiers.  It turns into a wonderful addiction for many...and I am a confessed addict.  I'm a do-it-yourselfer with a passion for modifying headphones.

I specialize primarily in modifying Grado, Magnum based builds, Denon, Beyerdynamic, Hifiman, Audeze, and Audio Technica.  My bread and butter is offering a 100% custom, ground up build called the Full Woody Jacket (FWJ) which uses either Grado drivers (all models) or the wonderful Magnum V5 drivers developed by Head-fier, Rhydon, which I have been using each of his subsequent versions over the last few years and are a big hit.  I also work on some miscellaneous projects from time to time, including an upcoming ground up ortho build using some vintage Yamaha drivers.

This is a side business venture for me and I'm lucky enough to also enjoy what I do.  I can't do this full time as I have a day job.  And although it seems like I spend every free minute in my shop (which I probably do), I always wake up the next day wanting to get right back at it.  I really love this stuff and I think you can tell this by looking at my work.  I try to build no two pieces alike.  There are certain designs that are favorites, as well they should be, but if given creative freedom, I'll give you something that no one else has.

I'm certainly not the first to do this and I won't be the last...but I'll give you something unique if you let me.

Welcome to my "blog/website."  If you're interested in customizing a set of your favorite headphones or are looking for a unique upgrade, I encourage you to contact me at martincustomaudio1@gmail.com.  I'm very responsive, even if you'd simply like to ask for advice.

I ask that you try to be a concise and to the point as possible since I receive what sometimes feels like an "e"-ton of emails most days.

Additionally, your always welcome to check out my head-fi.org profile which contains more information about me and my interests, but it hasn't been updated in a few years
