I'm going to be doing some segmented turning for a commissioned set of cans. I've never done any segmented turning so I figured I should do up a test piece.
This is Mahogany and Claro Walnut of which I had leftovers. I think the test was successful and will be moving forward with Gaboon Ebony and Bloodwood combo cups. This opens up a lot of doors for creativity, but it is more difficult and time consuming as you have to line up perfectly flat and flush surfaces, glue them and clamp them for 24 hours. Tightbond glue is the way to go.
